[DailyPharm Reporter: Hye-Kyoung Kang] The AGEs Society conducted the 3rd Basic Academic Study Session on glycotoxins on the 21st.
The Basic Academic Study Session is an offline gathering included in the online glycotoxin basic education program. It serves as an opportunity for new full-member pharmacists to build camaraderie and share knowledge from the AGEs Society.
During the meeting, CEO Myoung-Gyu Park delivered a presentation on the topic “A New Perspective on Disease,” explaining the reasons behind changes in the patterns of modern disease outbreaks. He discussed why it’s necessary to shift perspectives on the causes of diseases, particularly focusing on metabolic disorders, dementia, and Alzheimer’s, which are linked to glycotoxins. Ah-Reum Kim, the association’s academic representative, presented under the title “How Far Have You Used K-Medi Coop Products?”, sharing case studies on product sales and patient interactions.
The AGEs Society noted that many members expressed satisfaction with the meeting, adding, "Through study sessions for new full-member pharmacists and monthly regional public lectures, we are actively promoting the academic and product competitiveness of the association."
