[DailyPharm Reporter: Heung-Jun Jeong] The Seoul Pharmaceutical Association's Education Committee (led by President Young-Hee Kwon, Vice President Mi-Kyung Hwang, Director Hye-Sook Ahn, and Chairs Hyo-Jin Kang and Ri-Hong Son) will host the 2024 Seoul Pharm Academy Pharmacy-Exclusive Health Supplement Expo along with the Online Health Supplement Thursday Lectures.
The Seoul Pharmaceutical Association’s Education Committee will kick off the Thursday Health Supplement Lectures with the Pharmacy-Exclusive Health Supplement Expo, scheduled for March 24th from 10 AM to 4 PM at the 4th-floor auditorium of the Korea Pharmaceutical Association Hall.
The expo will feature participation from several health supplement associations, including the AGEs Society, Cellomax, Cellmed, NQNA, and K-Therapeutics, which will introduce themselves and present their key products to pharmacy members. A separate lounge area will be set up on the first floor for attendees, and a raffle will be held, with 100 participants receiving small gifts.
Following the expo, the Thursday Health Supplement Lectures will be conducted online via Zoom, starting on April 4th and running every Thursday evening from 8 PM to 10 PM for approximately 12 weeks. The lectures will introduce pharmacy-exclusive health supplement associations and feature academic presentations tailored to real-world products, enabling pharmacists to apply the knowledge directly in their pharmacies.
Any registered member of the association can sign up for the course by March 22nd via the Seoul Pharmaceutical Association website (www.spa.or.kr), regardless of their location. The registration fee is 10,000 KRW.
President Young-Hee Kwon remarked, "It wasn't easy to secure participation from pharmacy-exclusive health supplement associations for this expo, but it will be a valuable opportunity for members to access information and products typically reserved for pharmacists. We hope this event will help make health consultations more routine in pharmacies and promote the use of pharmacy-exclusive health supplements."
Vice President Mi-Kyung Hwang added, "This program is designed to help pharmacists acquire academic and clinical expertise in pharmacy-exclusive health supplements, as well as to offer practical product knowledge and sales tips that can be immediately applied in pharmacy management. We hope that many members will take an interest, as the lectures focus on practical, hands-on knowledge."
