MetaCen Therapeutics has launched a new product called ProepiQ, which features curcumin as its main ingredient.

[DailyPharm Reporter: Hye-Kyung Kang] MetaCen Therapeutics (CEO Myoung-Gyu Park) has announced the launch of its new product, ProepiQ, which features water-soluble curcumin as the main ingredient. The product will be sold through member pharmacies of the AGEs Society nationwide.ProepiQ is based on curcumin, the primary component of turmeric, one of the top 10 superfoods, and is designed to help individuals with chronic inflammation.
The company explained that "chronic inflammation builds up in the body due to factors like stress, irregular sleep patterns, Western diets, and excessive alcohol consumption. This inflammation can lead to metabolic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and obesity, and in severe cases, it can contribute to conditions like dementia or cancer."
However, the key challenge with curcumin is its fat-solubility, which limits absorption. To address this, ProepiQ uses water-soluble curcumin, which has smaller molecules and is therefore absorbed more efficiently in the body. The product also includes wheat germ extract and lecithin to enhance the effects of curcumin. Additionally, it contains a blend of grape skin, burdock, apple, olive leaf, and cinquefoil extracts, which are expected to create a synergistic effect.
ProepiQ is recommended to be taken once or twice a day, with one sachet per dose and plenty of water.
CEO Myoung-Gyu Park commented, "Modern lifestyles expose individuals to environments prone to chronic inflammation. We developed ProepiQ with the hope that it will support the health management of people living in these conditions."
