[DailyPharm – Reporter Hye-Kyung Kang] MetaCen Therapeutics (CEO Myoung-Gyu Park) has announced the launch of its premium product, AGEs Probiotics PLW, which will be available through pharmacies affiliated with the AGEs Society.
AGEs Probiotics PLW is a probiotic designed to support gut and brain health, incorporating patented technology that addresses PM pathogenic strains. It also includes additional strains specifically targeting bacteria responsible for dementia and Parkinson's disease, making it an enhanced version of the existing AGEs Probiotic.
According to MetaCen Therapeutics, PM pathogenic strains found in the gut are key bacteria in the development of inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn's disease. These strains not only produce large amounts of glycotoxins in the gut but also contribute to serious brain diseases like Parkinson's through gut-brain axis communication.
CEO Myoung-Gyu Park stated, "The AGEs Probiotics PLW incorporates patented technology to address PM pathogenic strains, reducing glycotoxins and helping to manage these strains simultaneously. This can aid in the prevention of related diseases."
