[DailyPharm – Reporter Shin-Kook Kang] On the 9th, the Gyeonggi Pharmaceutical Association (President Young-Dal Park), in collaboration with MetaCen Therapeutics, delivered Love Soy Milk to the Siheung City Family Center to support children from underprivileged multicultural families, who are often at risk of falling into welfare blind spots due to the prolonged impact of COVID-19.
President Young-Dal Park commented, "I understand that many multicultural families face economic challenges and social exclusion. We will continue to focus on supporting these families in Gyeonggi Province and promoting various avenues of assistance and sharing."
Vice President Soo-Ok Cho added, "We organized the soy milk donation after hearing that children from multicultural families in welfare blind spots struggle to maintain balanced nutrition due to economic hardships caused by the pandemic. I hope this small gesture helps these children pursue their dreams and aspirations."
MetaCen Therapeutics CEO Myoung-Gyu Park, who provided over 3,500 soy milk packs, stated, "Raising a healthy child is a universal desire for all parents, regardless of where they come from. I'm grateful to the pharmaceutical association for providing this meaningful opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of these children and to alleviate some of the burdens on their parents."
The donated soy milk will be distributed to 50-60 multicultural families supported by the Siheung City Family Center.
The event was attended by President Young-Dal Park, Vice President Soo-Ok Cho, Committee Chairs Kyung-Hee Lee and Nam-Jo Park, Auditor Byung-Ro Son, Siheung City Pharmaceutical Association Vice President Hye-Jung Choi, and Women Pharmacists' Committee Chair Seung-Hee Song, along with Kyung-Im Ko, Director of the Siheung City Family Center, MetaCen Therapeutics CEO Myoung-Gyu Park, and General Manager Gil-Tae Lim.
