The Gwangju Branch (led by Branch Director Chun-Bae Park) and the Gwangju Women Pharmacists' Association (President Sun-Hee Lee), in collaboration with MetaCen Therapeutics (CEO Myoung-Gyu Park), donated 300 boxes of soy milk to Gwangju Nam-gu Office as part of a social contribution project to support low-income families and senior welfare facilities.
The donation ceremony took place on August 31 at the Nam-gu Office. The soy milk will be distributed to 196 low-income households and 20 senior welfare facilities in Nam-gu, Gwangju.
President Sun-Hee Lee of the Gwangju Women Pharmacists' Association, who attended the ceremony, expressed her gratitude, saying, "With rising prices and difficult economic times, I’m very pleased to deliver a healthy Chuseok gift to low-income families and senior welfare facilities ahead of the holiday. I extend my deep thanks to CEO Myoung-Gyu Park of MetaCen Therapeutics for the generous support."
She also added, "I was deeply moved by MetaCen Therapeutics’ large-scale donation of soy milk, not only in Gwangju but also to pharmaceutical associations across the country."
CEO Myoung-Gyu Park, who donated the 300 boxes of soy milk, stated, "I believe that during difficult times, more sharing and support are needed. I’m happy to participate in helping those in need, and I’m grateful to the pharmaceutical association for providing the opportunity to be part of this meaningful cause."
The ceremony was attended by Vice Mayor Jeong-Sik Lee of Gwangju Nam-gu, Hyung-Sun Park, Director of the Department of Pharmaceutical Affairs, Kyung-Soo Kim, Director of Hyodeok-dong, along with Sun-Hee Lee, President of the Gwangju Women Pharmacists' Association, Jeong-Soon Wi, Chair of the Women Pharmacists' Committee, Chang-Ok Choi, President of Nam-gu Division, and representatives from MetaCen Therapeutics, including CEO Myoung-Gyu Park and General Manager Gil-Tae Lim.
